BLURRING THE LINES BETWEEN A BAND AND ITS FANS

Depeche Mode has one of the most passionate fan bases in music. So to launch their Spirit album and Global Tour, we handed over their Facebook page to the fans. Allowing a different fan to run the show every day for an entire year, with the band’s over 7 million followers listening. We then created a documentary about six special fans from the campaign who traveled to the last show on the tour, and shared their stories about how Depeche Mode helped them overcome life’s biggest obstacles.  It was one of the best-performing event cinema releases of 2019, shown in almost 3,000 theaters across 76 countries.
