Ownwell
FINDING CLARITY AND OPPORTUNITY IN A NEW NAME
A startup called realAppeal came to me looking for a new name for their company. realAppeal got their start helping property owners appeal their property tax bills, saving them thousands of dollars in the process (yes, any property owner can do this, who knew?)
The problem was, the name didn’t make it clear what they were offering for anyone that wasn’t in the know (and most people weren’t). And, it was too narrow to encompass their mission to expand further into making the many costs of real estate ownership more clear and equitable. They needed a new name that helped explain what they did, as well as one that felt accessible to all kinds of customers.
So, I came up with Ownwell. Not only was this new name easy to remember, spell and understand. It also felt warm and inviting. It reflected the goals the founders had to truly help all types of property owners, and gave them room to expand further into all facets of ownership.
